Sunsets make it worth it

Sunsets make it worth it

We woke up to a buzzing truck stop. Most trucks had left including the one right next to me… I am a hard sleeper luckily. We headed off for a long day of driving. Not super sure where we were going to end up but south.

I started Mindy Kealing’s book Why Not Me? And finished it before the sunset.

My route changed a few times over the day as I decided what my plan was. It was super challenging to have to pull off to do any research. I need a co-pilot that has thumbs.

With some help from my phone a dad, I was able to make a plan to head towards San Bernardino to swap out Annabelle’s E-Coller. Needing a bigger one for her and this was the last Amazon box that I could have it delivered to over night.

I really enjoyed when I switched up my destination and got to skirt the country roads instead of fighting LA traffic. It was really boring for a while but then got to be gorgeous. Especially with the amazing sunset. Annabelle enjoyed sniffing around before being loaded back up.

She has been a trooper the last few days. I plan to get to Mexico and find a good spot to rest for a few days. We both need some sunshine and adventure.

I didn’t really have a specific destination in San Bernardino and when I came into the city with traffic and tons of people on the road I was a little overwhelmed. After getting gas I was really ready to get out of there. It was not a great part of town and I just had some bad feelings.

Decided to go back 30 minutes the way I came and pull off in the forest service land. I knew it was legal and away from people.

Finally made it. No cell service here which is not surprising but the first night I have been without. Catching up on my blog and might even read before I pass out. Annabelle is currently snoring. It’s funny how my van is set up in that she has the bottom bunk and I have the top. I love this girl.
